UKRG December Update
November 26, 2011 in General
It’s been a quite few months here at UKRG. The day-jobs have been in full effect and the site has unfortunately been forced to take a back seat. However the holidays are coming and things are on the move once again.
This update sees a return to the studio of the Glaswegian based power house, Mungo’s Hi-Fi with their new album, Forward Ever.
We also have a couple of exciting album reviews from the new ska, rocksteady and reggae label, Phoenix City; run by our dear friend Sean Flowerdew, the man behind the mighty Pama International and The Loafers. The aim is to release the best in Ska, Rocksteady & Reggae from around the world, from classic reissues to blistering new sounds. Showcased on UKRG we have reviews of The Sidewalk Doctors, Music is Medicine and The Caroloregians, Fat is Back.
Our man Gideon has been chatting with Kelvin Grant from Musical Youth as he returns to the scene with a new album, Turning Point, produced by Jack Reuben. Check the interview.
Our UKRG Radio site continues to ply the airwaves with the finest selection of conscious reggae you’ll likely to find. Check our dedicated UKRG Radio page
